Its that time again, and the Baltimore City Department of Public Works offers the following tips to help protect water lines during periods of cold weather:
Let a very thin continuous stream of cold water run from a basement faucet. Water is less likely to freeze, and damage pipes and meters, when it is running. The water can be caught in a bucket and used later.
If your interior pipe is frozen, warm it with hot air from a blow dryer where it enters your house.
Check your water shut-off valve to make sure it is working.
Shut off water to outside faucets.
Monitor your sump pump. A frozen drain pipe could result in a flooded basement.
Insulate pipes in unheated parts of your house.
Always keep on hand a three day supply of bottled water; one gallon per person per day.
It starts tomorrow do your Baltimore friends and family know? Share the word.

Opened in 2015 by Justin Levy, @themusicspace is a hub for musicians of all ages and backgrounds. Dozens of instructors give lessons there for almost any instrument. A large, professional recording space is available with producers ready and able to make your creative aspirations a reality. It’s also a comfortable spot for an intimate recital/live music performance.
I record & make music here on a occasion. It’s been a while since I’ve had any projects since little bear was born. But it was cool to check it out with them and Mama Bear (the cutie with the pink hair).
We’ve had some really great performers come through here from all over the country and across the pond and I think 2019 holds even greater things for The Music Space, Justin and all the teachers! Stop in during regular business hours to talk to staff and maybe get a tour. You can also find good information on the website: www.themusicspace.com
